K-12 Education and Workforce Development

Investing in the next generation of climate leaders is a key focus of our project. We are developing innovative K-12 curriculum and hands-on learning opportunities that introduce students to the science of climate change, the importance of resilience, and the diverse career pathways in the growing green economy. Students in CEAR Hub programs have the chance to engage directly with cutting-edge resilience technologies and meet professionals working on the frontlines of climate adaptation.

Goals

Inspire and equip young people to be agents of change in their communities, fostering the next generation of climate leaders in coastal Georgia.

Develop innovative K-12 curriculum and hands-on learning opportunities that educate students about sea level rise, coastal ecology, disaster mitigation, climate resilience, and green careers.

Provide workforce development training in information technology and other sectors related to environmental hazards and community engagement.
