In partnership with the City of Tybee Island, UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant, CEAR Hub installed three rain gardens on the north end of Tybee Island. Part of Tybee Island’s Natural Infrastructure Plan, the rain gardens will help absorb stormwater, reduce flooding, and improve water quality. Using native plants, the rain gardens will also provide habitat for pollinators.
