Dr. Russ Clark, senior research scientist with Georgia Tech's CEAR Hub and Ofun Maja, community outreach coordinator with Savannah's Harambee House, served on a panel as part of Georgia Tech's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Action Week. The panel, entitled Connecting for Sustainability: Collaborative Paths to Environmental Justice, was offered as part of the Sustainability Showcase, held on March 7. The panel featured three different researcher-community partner pairs speaking about their collaborative projects working toward environmental and climate justice. Panelists spoke about the value of gaining different perspectives throughout their partnerships, while also commenting on the challenges often faced in building and maintaining trusting partnerships and how these challenges can be overcome.
