Savannah State’s Coast Camp program is a month of ocean science fun for students! This free academic camp utilizes science, math and writing skills in conjunction with the Ocean Literacy Principles to teach students about the ocean through interactive, hands-on curriculum.

About the event
Part of the mission of the SSU Coast Camp program is to provide real science experiences for the young people who participate in our program. Each camp is designed to provide time in the classroom with hands-on instruction as well as outdoor field work in the marine sciences.
The Coast Camp program works with SSU faculty, students and staff to provide a meaningful science experience campers can use at school and in their future as a scientist.

AGE LEVELS
Age: 7 – 8
Age: 9 – 10
Age: 11 – 13
Age: 14 – 18
There is a strict limit of 20 seats per age level.
Camper must be age of specific camp level by first day of camp.
Schedule
All Camps will be held Monday through Friday
Date: June 2- June 27, 2025
Hours: 8am to noon
Camp will be closed on June 19 in honor of Juneteenth
