NASA Sea Level Ambassador Webinar

NASA Sea Level Ambassadors Program Meet and Greet

Time & Location

Mar 02, 2024, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

About the event

The Sea Level Education, Awareness, and Literacy (SEAL) project is a partnership between NASA and four NOAA Sea Grant programs to improve understanding of sea level rise within coastal communities across the United States, particularly those that are historically underserved and vulnerable to SLR impacts.  We are hosting a webinar for formal and informal educators who might be interested in serving as NASA Sea Level Ambassadors. This will be an advisory board for the project, where educators will provide guidance and expertise as we integrate NASA data into curriculum and activities. Selected members will be compensated for their time. Potential roles may include opportunities to:

  • Participate in zoom/ in-person meetings to advise on ideas and provide feedback on lesson development through surveys and focus group discussions
  • Take part in educator trainings
  • Test and evaluate sea level rise education modules and activities
  • Integrate sea level rise lessons into existing programs
