Nov 09, 2025, 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
City of Savannah Adam's Complex, 20 Interchange Ct, Savannah, GA 31415, USA
About the event
This initiative responds directly to serious community concerns about how air pollution is impacting health and quality of life. This is why your knowledge, observations and understanding of how local industry and port activity impact your community are essential to this process.
We are collaborating with scientists at Underwriter Laboratories Chemical Insights Research Institute and Georgia Tech to install new sensors to measure ozone (O3), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), particulate matter (PM), temperature, humidity, and wind speed and direction. This real-time monitoring will help identify where further testing is needed for chemicals such as VOCs and aldehydes.
