The Southeast Region Environmental Justice Network promotes transformative grassroots collaboration, community empowerment, and equitable environmental solutions. The network's 10-Year Strategic Action Plan serves as a blueprint to guide actions over the next decade.
The Southeast Region Environmental Justice Network (SEREJN) emerged from the vision of The Harambee House and the participants of the Southeast Region Environmental Justice Convening held in St. Simons Island, GA, in March 2023; Southeast Region Environmental Justice Summit held in Atlanta, GA, in June 2023; and ACA-NET (Academic Institutions-Communities-Agencies Network) Convening held in Atlanta, GA, in November 2023.
Through a bottom-up, collective process, the regional network is working to build the policies, programs, partnerships, and resources to address environmental injustices and climate change impacts experienced by our front line and fence line communities on a daily basis.
The SEREJN 10-Year Strategic Action Plan serves as a roadmap to advance solutions that support environmental justice and energy innovation, including solutions related to equity, racial justice, capacity building, and organizational sustainability.
An article about the SEREJN Summit was published in the Saporta Report and is available at the following link: The Southeast Region Environmental Justice Summit wraps up in Atlanta last weekend.
